For the first time since starting this blog, I am blogging about an illness that I don't have, Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Because so few women have heard of it and so few doctors have actually seen a case of it, it is called the silent killer.
When I opened my email this morning, I found that a friend had sent this information to me. An illness with the potential to take my life and I have never heard of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. As I watched the video, I was shocked. A sense of urgency filled every fiber of my body. I immediately stopped reading emails and began creating this blog.
We are diligently working with the Breast Cancer site to help fund mammograms for women who cannot afford them. But that is not enough. We also have to inform women that getting a mammogram is only part of your staying healthy process. So that you will know your body, you must perform self breast exams and discern when something about your breast just does not look right.
After viewing the above video, please don't forget to click the PINK button to the right of the blog. You are not asked to pay for anything. You just click the PINK button through to the Breast Cancer site and their advertisers will do the rest.
BEFORE VIEWING THE VIDEO, PLEASE TURN DOWN OR TURN OFF THE MUSIC AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS BLOG.

that is something scary, sigh a lot of people also fail to realize that breast cancer isnt just for women, men too have historically and statistically been affected by this disease too. A number that is starting to be rather alarming. Thank you for spreading the word and awareness - I too click on the site daily.
Empty Streets, thanks for your valuable input and support.
It is true that the number of men getting breast cancer is rising.
Either that or there is an increase in the number of cases being reported.
Either way, as you stated, it is frightening for both genders.
Thank you for clicking!
Thanks for leaving me a comment the other day. Hope you are feeling good today. Take care.
There is SO much preventative possibilities with cancer, but all we hear about is detection. I reviewed a book on my site called Anticancer: A New of Life. Lots of information about preventing and even slowing cancer, much of which might be helpful for other illnesses, as well.
Jack and Joann you are welcome. I am well and hope that you are as well.
Leora, thank you for this valuable information. I hope that those viewing this sight will visit your site and check out the book.
You are certainly right. There are absolutely ways of preventing cancer. But, in the past, so few people have been willing to make healthy choices.
We are changing that. But first, the people who have this type of cancer need to know that Inflammatory Brest Cancer exist and that it should be checked out.
Be well
I am a survivor of breast cancer..on my fifth year..Yah!! Early detection the key to me being healthy and whole...on solid ground!
Naturegirl, it is always good to hear for a survivor. And the fact that it was detected early is our goal-to get people to understand that if something does not look right to you, You should get it checked out early.
Once you have it, early detection is the key!
CONGRATULATIONS!
